【詳細】
▶︎内ポケットは、エプロン制作の時に出てくる古着からのポケットを採用。
▶︎生地もしっかりしていて柄も可愛いので裏地は付けておりません。
▶︎袋口にはフック付きですので、中身が見える心配を防いでくれます。
▶︎持ち手の縫い合わせ部分にカシメ付いています。

素敵なヴィンテージカンタキルトで今回も日常に寄り添うBAGを製作しました。
ナチュラルなワンピースにも、アメカジ系にも何にだって合わせやすいであろう柄を選びました♡
可愛い生地は家に置いておくより持ち歩きたい！BAGにするとそれが叶う。

カンタキルトはインドやバングラデシュの伝統的な刺し子刺繍を施したキルトのことで、古くなったサリーやデュパタ（ショール）などの布を何層にも重ね、刺し子の技法で縫い合わせたもので、リサイクル・アップサイクルの文化の中で生まれたハンドメイド布製品です。

長年使われる事で表面の生地が擦れ、下の層の生地や色が見えてくることもあり、これが独特の風合いとなり、ヴィンテージ感やナチュラルな味わいを生み出します。

古布を使ったカンタキルトは経年変化を楽しめ、同じデザインのものがほとんど存在しない、一点ごとに異なる表情を持っているのが特徴です。色や柄の組み合わせが個性的で、ハンドメイドならではの魅力が存分に有ります

♦︎ラリーキルトの布は、使われていたものが使用されておりますので、シミや汚れ、生地の傷みパッチワークされた箇所などがございます。ラリーされた糸の端がピュッと出ていたりします。それも古布の味わいの一つとしてお楽しみいただけると幸いです。

▶︎The inner pocket is made from pockets salvaged from old clothes during the apron-making process.
▶︎The fabric is sturdy and features a cute pattern, so it is not lined.
▶︎A hook is attached to the bag opening, so you don’t have to worry about the contents being visible.
▶︎Rivets are attached to the seams of the handles.

About Kantha Quilts

Kantha quilts are traditional handmade textiles from India and Bangladesh. They are created by layering old saris, dupattas (shawls), and other fabrics, then stitching them together using a traditional running-stitch embroidery technique known as Kantha.

Born from a culture of recycling and upcycling, each quilt carries its own unique history.

With years of use, the top layers of fabric may wear away, revealing hidden colors and fabrics beneath. These characteristics create the distinctive texture, depth, and vintage charm that make Kantha quilts so beloved.
